Once you rez it out, the prim WILL be modifiable and allow you to add contents. This is due to the DropBox script being no-modify. The DropBox only seems no-modify in your inventory. You can set up a security orb (or banlines) if you wish on a private location, or just relocate the box(es) to a location where you don't mind customers occasionally dropping in. While you don't have to keep your DropBox in your store or rental headquarters, keep in mind that the occasional customer may unexpectedly drop in where the DropBox is located if they click the address link. This was instituted several years ago by the Lindens as an anti-griefing measure, to make it easier to report the location of a griefing object, and it applies to ALL objects across the grid that send messages. This is a grid limitation by the Lindens and cannot be changed via scripting. The DropBox that responds to a request to deliver an object will send its physical location with the delivery message.
